Wycombe L3 Open
25th to 26th Nov 2017

An excellent weekend of swimming for all involved, with 40 new improved personal bests from 55 swims.

Our youngest swimmer, Sophie, performed exceptionally well in her first proper open meet and overcame her nerves to set some strong PBs. Eleanor notched up an 100% PB rate with good skills in her 3 events and Harry continued to improve his breaststroke times. Oscar also managed PBs in all his races & just missed a County consideration time for his 400 Free. Cara set new PBs in all her events, and squeezed just inside the ONB consideration time for 200 IM.

Thaneson produced some brilliant swims, especially in the 400 IM, 200 IM & 100 Fr, to improve his ONB County times. Bella also increased her chances of ONB qualification with PBs in all her races - particularly the 50 br. While Fraser also managed to secure his first ONB County Consideration time for his superb 400 IM.

Thanks to our officials - Martin Wheeler, Tim Ayres, Kathryn Roberts, Alex O'Shea, Simon Bateman and Henry Staines.

Oxford L3 Open
24th to 26th Nov 2017

An excellent effort from our distance swimmers on Friday night at Oxford - pbs all round!

Ruby swam a magnificent first 400, but was unable to quite keep up the pace in the last half of the race, but still set a strong new PB of 11.17. She also improved her 200 freestyle time by 2 seconds.

Oren improved his Regional consideration time for the 1500m free, with a 17 second PB to record 20.24.79.

Special mention to Talia who took a massive 26 seconds off her 800 time, just 2 weeks after last setting a PB. Her time puts her close to her first ever Regional consideration time. Certainly worth the hard work. Bring on Counties!
